The focus of the learning in this knowledge module is to build an understanding of basic cleaning principles. The knowledge acquired will enable the learner to demonstrate an understanding of the types and functions of cleaning processes, including:

  • Cleaning, dry, to wet
  • Cleaning from the furthest end of the room to the door
• Hygiene and safety standards
  •  Use colour-coded cleaning methods
• Clean methodically
• Maintenance schedules
